What kind of battery is in the Ford Lightning?

Ford has announced that the 2022 F-150 Lightning Electric pickup would have two packs of useable batteries available.

Ford estimates that the two packs will give the vehicle an electric range of up to 20 miles per gallon.

The 131.0 kWh battery is an expanded-range battery pack, and Ford claims it will give the Ford F-150 Lightning a 300-mile range.  

The all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning trucks can power a home for up to three days based on the assumption that the typical US household uses 30kWh of electricity each day.

or even up to ten days if using solar power or charging.

Using the Lightning's extended-range battery would take 41 minutes, while using the standard-range battery would take 44 minutes to charge from 15% to 80%.

Ford said that the fleet-focused Lightning Pro would be available to retail consumers with a 98-kWh battery pack.Ford had previously stated that extended-range models would be available for fleet buyers.
